Terms of service

Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of BookBillPay, operated by SCG Digital ("we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction. You represent that the business information you provide is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the business you register.

Your account

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• You are responsible for all activity under your account.
• Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
• One person or business per account unless we explicitly authorize team access.

The service

BookBillPay provides tools for service-business owners to manage bookings, contacts, invoices, and online payments. We may add, change, or remove features over time. We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use BookBillPay for illegal, deceptive, or fraudulent activity
• Invoice for goods or services you did not provide
• Upload content that infringes intellectual property or privacy rights
• Harass, spam, or abuse clients or other users
• Attempt to probe, scan, or compromise the security of the service
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or resell access to the platform without permission

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

Payments and Stripe

Online payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. under Stripe's services agreement and connected-account terms. You must maintain a valid Stripe account to accept card payments through BookBillPay.

• BookBillPay never holds client funds on your behalf.
• Payout timing and disputes are governed by Stripe's policies.
• You are responsible for refunds, chargebacks, and tax obligations on amounts you collect.
• Processing and platform fees may be passed through to your clients by default, as configured in your payment settings.

Subscriptions and billing

Paid plans are billed monthly through Stripe. A 14-day trial may apply to new paid subscriptions. You may cancel anytime from Settings; access continues until the end of the current billing period. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

We may change plan prices with at least 30 days' notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance.

Your content and data

You retain ownership of the business data, client records, and content you upload. You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display that content solely to provide the service. You are responsible for having appropriate rights to any logos or materials you upload.

Intellectual property

BookBillPay, its branding, software, and documentation are owned by SCG Digital. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or source code.

Disclaimer of warranties

BookBillPay is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SCG Digital will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of BookBillPay is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold SCG Digital harmless from claims arising from your use of the service, your client relationships, your invoices, or your violation of these Terms.

Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms, non-payment, or where required by law. Upon termination, your right to use the service ends; provisions that should survive (payment obligations, liability limits, dispute resolution) will survive.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction apply.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page and emailed to your account address at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
